The invention discloses an automatic control method for hot rolled plate blank stacking. The most reasonable storage position is calculated and recommended through a computer system according to conditions such as the property, the size and the storage point of plate blanks, and the on-site requirement for stack position safety, and the receiving and feeding rhythms are met to achieve the purposesof hot rolled plate blank stack transfer reducing and steel loading rhythm increasing. The target stack position of the plate blanks is automatically generated, manual intervention is needed only when the storage pressure is high and the storage position cannot be found, and thus the labor intensity of an operator can be lowered. Plate blank stacking considers plate blank nearby stacking, it is guaranteed that only a small amount of stack transfer is needed during plate blank feeding and outputting, thus the steel loading rhythm is increased, and the stack transfer rate is decreased. The storage position is controlled through a computer, the dangerous factors that the wide blanks are pressed by the narrow blanks, and the long blanks are pressured by the short blanks usually occurring whenthe storage positions is manually appointed can be avoided, and the risk of the stacking technology is lowered.
