A toilet device (11) comprises: a toilet body (12); a base plate (14) provided on the upper part of the toilet body (12) and having a function section (13) mounted thereon; and a cover (15) for covering the base plate (14) from above so as to accommodate the function section (13). The cover (15) has a protrusion (157) protruding further downward than the base plate (14) at a position closer to the toilet bowl (121) of the toilet body (12) than the base plate (14). The toilet body (12) has formed therein a recess in communication with the toilet bowl (121) and open upward, and base plate (14) is disposed in the recess.
