The invention discloses a preparation method of thermal expansible yarn and belongs to the technical field of spinning. Expansible graphene and high-temperature resistant adhesives (such as phosphateadhesives and silicic acid adhesives) are uniformly mixed and stirred in a vacuum defoaming blender to obtain a mixed liquid; then, the mixed liquid is uniformly sprayed onto the surfaces of high-temperature resistant fibers (such as aluminum oxide fibers, aramid fibers and polybenzoxazole fibers) and then solidified at a certain temperature, and correspondingly expansible fibers are obtained; finally, the expansible fibers are spun into the expansible yarn by means of an existing spinning technology. When placed at the high temperature of 230 DEG C or above, the expansible yarn can expand.
