The invention discloses a preparation method of electric conductive silver coated pearl powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps that 1, pearl powder is added into a propylene glycol monomethyl ether or propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate solution and stirred, a silane coupling agent is added then, water is added, the mixture reacts for 2 hours till the silane coupling agent is adsorbed to the surface of the pearl powder, then the mixture is filtered, washed with propylene glycol monomethyl ether, and then washed with water again; 2, the product obtained in step 1 isadded into a stannous chloride solution and stirred, excitation sensitization is conducted, and the product is filtered; and 3, the pearl powder filtered cake obtained in step 2 is dispersed in waterand added into a reactor to be stirred, a silver ammonia solution is added into the reactor, when the color of the pearl powder begins to change, reduction liquid is added, the mixture is heated to be68-72 DEG C gradually, after reaction is conducted completely, and filtration and vacuum drying are conducted. Due to the silane coupling agent is used in the preparation method, the cladding layer is firmer; stannous chloride conducts excitation on the pearl powder surface, so that silver is more flatly precipitated on the surface of the pearl powder. The electric conductive silver coated pearlpowder is not prone to being oxidized, is relatively stable, and can present the rich colorful effect.
