The invention discloses a preparation method of a copper complex and application thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1) mixing copper chloride dehydrate with 1,4-di-(triazole-1-yl) terephthalic acid, and adding the mixture into a solvent to be uniformly stirred to obtain a mixed solution A; and then adding nitric acid to stir the solution to obtain a mixed solution B; 2)in a sealing condition, putting the mixed solution B at 110-130 DEG C to react for 10-14 h to obtain crystals C; and 3) cleaning the crystals C with ethanol for three times, then putting the crystalsC in methanol to be soaked for 2 days, then putting the crystals C in dichloromethane to be soaked for 1 day, and finally putting the crystals C in an oven to be dried to obtain the copper complex. The method disclosed by the invention is simple in synthesis and high in yield. The copper complex has high adsorption efficiency on diclofenac sodium and still has good desorption ability and cyclic utilization ability after adsorbing drug pollutants, so that the copper complex has a potential application in adsorbing drug pollutants in a water environment.
