The invention discloses the convergence potential assessment method and system of user-side distributed energy storage. The method comprises the following steps of receiving the operation data of a corresponding distributed energy storage node collected by each distributed energy storage node controller; using the operation data of each distributed energy storage node to calculate the convergencepotential index value of each distributed energy storage node according to a distributed energy storage convergence calculation model; and calculating the convergence potential index of each distributed energy storage node according to the convergence potential index value of each distributed energy storage node. In the technical scheme, through establishing an energy storage convergence calculation model considering a time scale, a capacity scale, effective convergence time and a reliability index, an analytic hierarchy process is used to analyze a distributed energy storage convergence potential index; and according to the convergence potential index of each distributed energy storage node, the output of the energy storage system is controlled, and a technical support is provided for therealization of multi-point layout distributed energy storage system convergence application.
