A standard power source for detection of a power utilization load identifying intelligent electric energy meter comprises a load characteristic library, a waveform generation module, a DAC conversionmodule, a filter, an amplifier and an output module connected sequentially and a feedback correction module; the feedback correction module back feeds output of the amplifier to the waveform generation module; and the load characteristic library comprises a stored load characteristic library and a load characteristic library that can be upgraded. Thus, the load identifying intelligent electric energy meter can be detected automatically in a lab, puzzles caused by manual control of different household electrical appliances are overcome, and the standard power source and detection method thereofhave wide application prospects.
