The invention discloses a hot oil separating and cooling device for thrust pads of a generator set. The hot oil separating and cooling device for the thrust pads of the generator set comprises an installation seat, and an oil separating plate for preventing hot oil produced by the friction of one thrust pad between the adjacent thrust pads and a runner plate from directly immersing into the otherthrust pad, wherein the installation seat is arranged on the side surface, facing one adjacent thrust pad, of the thrust pad; the bottom end of the oil separating plate is arranged on the installationseat; and an oil scraper for scraping the hot oil attached onto the runner plate is arranged at the top end of the oil separating plate. The oil separating device has the advantages of simple structure, convenience in disassembling and assembling, oil separating and cooling functions, and capability of preventing the thrust pads from being too high in temperature.
