The invention discloses a method for detecting the two-way power frequency communication of a power line, and belongs to the technical field of power communication. The method comprises the followingsteps: weighting and summing signals to eliminate a background signal; deriving the weighted and summed communication signal; performing EEMD decomposition on the processed signal; measuring the frequency of each IMF; and performing threshold denoising on the retained IMF. By adoption of the method disclosed by the invention, the problem of poor effect of a two-way power frequency communication system in a noise environment is solved, the method can be effectively applicable to a communication environment with relatively large harmonic noise power, meanwhile, the detection performance of uplink signals can be continuously improved, and the influence of noise interference is greatly reduced.
