The invention provides a brake apparatus for automobile and a control method thereof. The apparatus includes a Jake actuator, configured to open an exhaust valve after a compression stroke is finished; a water sprayer, which is used for jetting water into air inflow in the engine; a controller, which receives information related to driving status of a vehicle and controls the Jake actuator and thewater sprayer; and a turbocharger which is driven by waste gas in the engine and compresses the air inflow into the engine.
