The invention discloses a various-type energy storage system planning configuration method and system for optimizing operation of a virtual power plant. The method comprises the steps of making a loadoutput control strategy of various types of power supplies participating in load output of the virtual power plant; building an optimal economic model of various types of power supplies according tocontrollable loads of various types of power supplies in the virtual power plant; and performing calculation on the optimal economic model by the control strategy to obtain an optimal value of capacity configuration of various types of power supplies. With the method disclosed by the technical scheme, two or various energy storage technologies are combined to form a various-type energy storage system, the complement of energy-type energy storage and power-type energy storage in technological performance is achieved, and the energy storage demand of the virtual power plant in optimal operationcan be satisfied very well.
