The invention relates to a transmission tower position extraction method and a transmission tower position extraction system. According to the invention, a target area image of a transmission tower inthe area of a power transmission channel is acquired through the satellite shooting process, and a corresponding differential interference phase diagram is generated. After that, based on the synthetic aperture radar technology, the position of the transmission tower in the differential interference phase diagram is extracted. According to the technical scheme provided by the invention, an extracted peak value accurately corresponds to a local bright spot in the area of a target. Meanwhile, the space distribution is consistent with the contour of the target. As a result, the tower foundationand the cross arm of an iron pole tower are clearly extracted. The position information of the pole tower can be determined.
