The invention provides a payment method and device. The payment method comprises the steps that a client obtains commodity information, which is collected by a data collection terminal, for display; the client parses amount data in the commodity information based on the commodity information; and the client obtains a payment result based on the amount data in response to a payment instruction of auser. The payment process of the method is to pay first and then consider whether to print or not, rather than the traditional way of printing first and then getting the amount data of the payment, thereby avoiding a problem of resource waste because the printing material cannot be cancelled when the payment mode is changed midway or the payment is suspended midway.
