The invention discloses a method for evaluating service lives of opening and closing coils. The method includes the steps of acquiring raw current data of at least two opening and closing coils; performing an alternating salt spray test operation on each of the opening and closing coils according to preset data; obtaining test current data after the alternating salt spray test operation is executed; installing the opening and closing coil on a circuit breaker, and determining whether the opening and closing coil cannot touch an opening and closing mechanism of the circuit breaker; if yes, stopping the alternating salt spray test operation; if not, continuing to perform the alternating salt spray test operation on the opening and closing coil until the opening and closing coil cannot touchthe opening and closing mechanism; and performing a training operation based on a support vector machine regression algorithm according to the raw current data and the test current data to obtain a training model. The invention also discloses a device for evaluating the service lives of the opening and closing coils. The device can simulate the climatic conditions and effectively obtain service life evaluation information of the opening and closing coils, so that the opening and closing coils are replaced timely.
