The invention relates to a 10KV switching station intelligent protection method and system, wherein the method comprises the following steps: detecting whether a buscouple switch in a switching station circuit is in an open position; if so, detecting whether the protection information of the switching station circuit is received; if so, determining the protection operation states of incoming and outgoing lines, and if it is determined that the incoming and outgoing lines both have protection actions, closing the incoming switch in the switching station circuit; detecting whether the incoming switch is reclosed successfully; if so, closing the outgoing switch in the switching station circuit; detecting whether the outgoing switch is reclosed successfully, if so, determining that an instantfault occurs in switching station circuit, and if not, determining that a permanent fault occurs in switching station circuit and separating the outgoing switch.
