The invention provides an annual recursion law prediction method for a proved reserve growth S curve. The method comprises the steps of 1, establishing a mathematic sequence comprising accumulated proved oil reservoirs of an oil and gas basin in different years, and obtaining an independent variable and a dependent variable of the S curve; 2, fitting the S curve of the sequence comprising the accumulated oil reservoirs in the years established in the step 1 to obtain an S curve equation and an equation coefficient; 3, establishing a solving equation of the equation coefficient in the step 2, and forming a prediction model comprising the oil and gas basin by the solving equation and the S curve equation in the step 2; and 4, predicting oil and gas reservoirs and reserves possibly proved inthe next year by using the prediction model. The annual recursion law prediction method for the proved reserve growth S curve establishes resource quantity, proved oil reservoir quantity and exploratory well reserve-based prediction and is more suitable for medium and short-term prediction of oil and gas systems of different levels such as a basin level, a depression level, a zone level and the like with relatively high exploration degree.
