The invention discloses a method for predicting the corona inception field intensity of an EHV/UHV divided conductor by considering altitude correction, which comprises the steps of building a prediction model, measuring parameter values and calculating the predicted field intensity. The preferable field intensity prediction model is defined in the description. According to the invention, an actual corona inception field intensity value of the divided conductor at the altitude point can be obtained under the premise of substituting the known altitude, the sub-conductor radius and the number ofdivisions into a corona inception field intensity calculation formula, and the calculation result is obviously better than that of a Peek formula. The corona inception field intensity values of divided conductors of EHV/UHV alternating current transmission lines at different altitudes can be accurately calculated, thereby providing a reference for the design of conductor selection of EHV/UHV overhead lines in a high-altitude area, and achieving a purpose of improving the operation safety and economy of the transmission lines.
