The invention provides a method for preparing an environmentally-friendly and flame-retardant shell powder-rubber composite material. The method comprises the following steps: (1) weighing raw materials according to corresponding parts by weight; (2) mixing ethylene-propylene-diene monomer, chloroprene rubber, rare earth phosphate and aluminum triphosphate to obtain a mixture A; (3) mixing the mixture A with shell powder, ferroferric oxide, zirconium oxide, a flame retardant, a flame retardant synergist and an accelerator to obtain mixed rubber B; (4) mixing the mixed rubber B with an antioxidant and a vulcanizing agent, and dumping the obtained mixture to obtain a rubber compound C; and (5) vulcanizing the rubber compound C to obtain the flame retardant shell powder-rubber composite material. The method is scientific and reasonable, and the produced composite material has a good tensile strength and a long service life, and can meet the demands in the use fields of communication, cabinets and refractory devices.
