The invention provides a method for processing patterns on the surface of a ceramic tile. The method comprises the steps that ultraviolet curing paint is sprayed on the surface of the ceramic tile according to designed patterns, and after the ultraviolet curing paint is cured, the surface of the ultraviolet curing paint is coated with a coating by using a vacuum coating method so as to form a coating pattern; and then an ink pattern is drawn on the surface, except the coating pattern, of the ceramic tile by using an ink jet method according to the designed patterns. The invention further discloses the ceramic tile prepared by using the method. The method and the ceramic tile have the advantages that composite patterns composed of the ink pattern and the coating pattern have the advantagesof being rich in ink pattern color and diversified in pattern variability, the brightness of the coating and the smoothness of lines can be achieved, the defect that the ink pattern is too flat and monotonous can be overcome, the patterns are rich in sense of depth, by means of a coating technology, the ceramic tile can be improved to be noble and elegant, and the grade of the ceramic tile can beimproved.
