The present invention relates to an item, in particular for sun protection, including at least one metal layer and one textile layer that has an outer face including at least one polymer mixed with at least one plasticizing agent, thus forming a first matrix. Advantageously, the bond between said first matrix and the metal layer is ensured by an intermediate polymer layer including at least one coupling polymer. Said coupling polymer is bonded by chemical bonds to the first matrix and to the metal layer. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such an item and includes a step for metallization by depositing reduced-pressure metal vapors.
