The invention discloses a public transportation query method. The method comprises the steps of: establishing a virtual base station to send a broadcast control channel, and obtaining first identity identification information of a mobile terminal in a signal coverage range through signalling interaction with the mobile terminal; and, according to the first identity identification information, pushing public transportation information to the mobile terminal. The invention further discloses electronic equipment. By means of the public transportation query method and the electronic equipment disclosed by the invention, the public transportation information is actively pushed to the mobile terminal; software does not need to be installed; and thus, the use complexity of users is reduced.
