The invention relates to the technology of a battery, specifically a battery negative electrode material and a preparation method thereof, a lithium battery negative electrode plate and a lithium battery. The battery negative electrode material is titanium disilicide prepared by a self-propagating reaction. The invention also relates to a lithium battery negative electrode which comprises the rawmaterials of a conductive agent, a binder and the battery negative electrode material. The invention also relates to the lithium battery, wherein the lithium battery comprises a positive electrode, adiaphragm, an electrolyte and the lithium battery negative electrode. By taking titanium disilicide as the battery negative electrode material, the volume effect of the battery material can be weakened to a certain degree, and cycle performance is improved; and the titanium disilicide prepared by the self-propagating reaction has high activity, purity and conductivity, so that the prepared lithiumbattery negative electrode has the characteristics of high capacity, high charging-discharging speed, long cycle life, high specific capacity and high electrical conductivity.
