The invention provides a novel basin-type insulator based on charge regulation and control and self-adaptive dissipation. The novel basin-type insulator comprises an insulation area and a self-adaptive dissipation area, wherein the insulation area is positioned at the bottom end of the self-adaptive dissipation area, and both the casting materials of the insulation area and the self-adaptive dissipation area are doped with silicon carbide granules. The novel basin-type insulator has the beneficial effects that the distribution of an electric field on an interface of the insulation area and theself-adaptive dissipation area can be in smooth transition so as to eliminate distortion points of the electric field, thereby improving the running stability on the basis of self-adaptive regulationand control of charges; and furthermore, a small amount of dopant in the insulation area can not increase the body leakage current.
