The invention provides a method for extracting phenol compounds from direct coal liquefaction effluents. The method includes the steps: preliminarily rectifying the direct coal liquefaction effluentsto obtain crude phenol oil; adjusting a pH (potential of hydrogen) value of carbonate solution to reach 14 to form alkali cleaning solution; performing alkali cleaning on the crude phenol oil by the alkali cleaning solution to obtain phenol-containing water solution; acidizing the phenol-containing water solution to obtain the phenol compounds. According to the method, weak base carbonate serves as main components of the alkali cleaning solution, the problem of corrosion of devices can be effectively avoided, the pH value is adjusted to 14, the phenol compounds in the crude phenol oil are converted into phenolate as far as possible, so that the phenol compounds and the oil are separated, and high phenol extracting yield is ensured.
