The invention discloses a synthesis method of 2-chloro-N'-(4'-chlorobiphenyl-2-yl)nicotinamide, which includes the steps of: performing a reaction to prepare an intermediate, a 4-chlorobenzene magnesium chloride metal compound, with p-dichlorobenzene as an initial raw material in the presence of magnesium and lithium chloride; then coupling the intermediate with o-nitrobromobenzene to prepare a biphenyl compound; and performing reductive acylation to obtain the 2-chloro-N'-(4'-chlorobiphenyl-2-yl)nicotinamide. The synthesis method has the advantages that the raw materials are low-cost and easy-to-obtain, and is simple in process, is less in waste liquid, waste gas and waste solid, is low in cost and is suitable for industrial production. The 2-chloro-N'-(4'-chlorobiphenyl-2-yl)nicotinamideis used as an agricultural bactericide and is mainly used for preventing and treating crop diseases, such as powdery mildew, gray molds, rot diseases, brown rot and root rot diseases, etc.
