This air conditioner is provided with: a main body having an outlet; a fan installed inside the main body; a heat exchanger installed inside the main body; and a first member that opens/closes the outlet and is pivotably supported by the main body. The first member comprises: a first casing that has a first surface facing the inner side of the main body when operation is stopped; and a second casing fitted to the first casing. A recess is formed in the first surface of the first casing, and a protrusion that protrudes toward the second casing is formed in the first casing. The recess is positioned on the side opposite the projection.
