The present invention provides a test power supply for short-circuit instantaneous protection characteristics of a DC miniature circuit breaker. The test power supply includes a programmable power supply V1. One end of the programmable power supply V1 is connected to one end of a primary coil L1 of a current-raising transformer MC1 through power switch tubes Q1. The other end of the programmable power supply V1 is connected to the other end of the primary coil L1 of the current-raising transformer MC1. A secondary coil L1 of the current-raising transformer MC1 is connected to a load. A freewheeling diode is connected in parallel between two ends of the primary coil L1 of the current-raising transformer MC1. The power switch tubes Q1 are electrically connected with a drive system. The powersupply of the invention does not need a rectifier tube, can output a larger current through expansion, and has the advantages of simple structure, small size, light weight, and high reliability.
