The invention discloses a ventilating window and a control method thereof. The ventilating window comprises a control main machine, a window body electric window opener, an indoor temperature and humidity sensor and an outdoor temperature and humidity sensor, wherein the control main machine is connected with the indoor temperature and humidity sensor and the outdoor temperature and humidity sensor; the indoor temperature and humidity sensor is arranged at an indoor side of a window body; the outdoor temperature and humidity sensor is arranged at an outdoor side of the window body; and the control main machine is used for driving the electric window opener to open or close the window body according to the measurement results of the indoor temperature and humidity sensor and the outdoor temperature and humidity sensor. According to the control method, indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity measurement results are sent to the control main machine, and the control main machine is used for comparing the received indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity measurement results to drive the window body to be opened or closed. The ventilating window disclosed by the invention is especially applicable to a power distribution station, a chamber or a room which requires moisture prevention, can maintain an indoor dry ventilation environment, prevents faults, caused by moisture, of equipment or an object, and has the characteristics of simplicity in installation, low investment and quick effect.
