The invention discloses a spiral bevel gear milling process. The spiral bevel gear milling process comprises the following steps: concave surface rough cutting: relative mounting positions of a wheelblank and a cutter head are adjusted; and the tooth depth margin is roughly cut to u; convex surface rough cutting: relative angles of the wheel blank and the cutter head are adjusted; and the tooth depth margin is roughly cut to u; tooth root rough cutting: the cutter head is fed to enable a tooth groove profile to overlap with an edge profile of the cutter head; finish cutting: a preset tooth depth is machined; and finish cutting is performed to finish machining; the sequences of concave surface rough cutting and convex surface rough cutting can be exchanged; through calculation and optimization of cutting angles, cutting speeds and feeding speeds in each procedure, high-efficiency tooth cutting requirements in traditional gear machining can be met, and the cutter load in the tooth milling process of a spiral bevel gear can be effectively reduced; meanwhile, cutting quantities borne by inner and outer cutters can be reasonably distributed, so that the service life of complete cuttersis prolonged; a machine tool can be preferably applied to multiple gear structural forms and material conditions; and final products can achieve more excellent tooth surface effect.
