The invention discloses a self-powered wireless control system for a tower-type photo-thermal heliostat. The self-powered wireless control system comprises a first energy storage battery, a second energy storage battery, a photovoltaic module, a first power supply management module, a heliostat controller, and a second power supply management module and a wireless communication module which are arranged inside the heliostat controller. The photovoltaic module, the first energy storage battery and the second energy storage battery are used for providing direct current supply for the heliostat controller, a first direct current step motor, a second direct current step motor, a first encoder and a second encoder, so that complete self power supply of the system is realized, and a large numberof power supply cables are avoided from being paved. The heliostat controller is internally provided with a wireless communication module, and is connected with an upper computer through a wireless network, so that a great number of communication cables are avoided from being paved. The heliostat controller adopts the sleep and awakening design of a timer, and the self-hold direct current step motors are adopted, so that the overall power consumption of the system is reduced, and the power supply time is prolonged. The heliostat controller is internally provided with a direct current step motor drive module, and speed regulation, short circuit protection, overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection and undervoltage protection are carried out on the direct current step motors.
