According to the charging pile gun head temperature detection system and method of the present invention, a first temperature sensor and a second temperature sensor are respectively located at positions near the positive pole and negative pole of a charging gun head and detect the temperature of the charging gun head; and a controller is used for controlling a charging pile to performcharging or not to perform charging according to the difference value of the first temperature sensor and the second temperature sensor; and when the temperature difference value is too high, the controller controls the charging pile to stop charging output or reduce charging output current, so that the temperature rise of the charging gun head can be suppressed or reduced. According to the charging pile gun head temperature detection system and method of the present invention, the two temperature sensors are adopted to detect the temperature of the charging gun head, so that the temperaturechange of the charging gun head can be determined more accurately, and the influence of ambient temperature can be decreased.
