The invention discloses a fertilizer management method for improving potassium content in tobacco. The fertilizer management method is characterized by comprising the following steps: making differentfertilizer formulas according to tobacco nutrient requirement rules, wherein the specific formula is that the total organic fertilizer is subjected to basal application, 60% of inorganic nitrogen andphosphorus and 40% of potassium fertilizer serve as the base fertilizer; 20%of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium serves as a nest-fertilizer to be applied during transplanting; and the residual 40%of inorganic potassium and 20% of inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus are respectively applied by drip irrigation system within 15 and 35 days after transplanting and after tip pruning. The fertilizer management method disclosed by the invention has the advantages that different fertilizer formulas are respectively provided after base fertilizer application, nest-fertilizer application, within 15 days and 35 days after transplanting and after tip pruning according to fertilizer requirement rules at different stages of the tobacco. Compared with the traditional fertilization method, the fertilizer management method disclosed by the invention can improve the potassium content in the tobacco by 30-50%. Meanwhile, the immunity of tobacco plants is improved, the incidence of plant diseases and insect pests is reduced, and the yield and quality of the tobacco are correspondingly improved.
