The invention provides a VA thin film transistor array substrate and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the manufacturing method of the VA thin film transistor array substrate of the invention, three pixel electrodes are formed in the same pixel, and the three pixel electrodes are connected with the same thin film transistor but on different structural layers, so that the three pixel electrodes differ in ability to drive a liquid crystal. The liquid crystal penetration rates of three regions in a pixel are adjusted through three pixel electrodes, so that the brightness of the pixel can be uniform when the pixel is viewed from different angles, and the angle of view of a VA liquid crystal display can be improved. According to the VA thin film transistor array substrate, three pixel electrodes are arranged in the same pixel, which is beneficial to enhancing the angle of view of a VA liquid crystal display.
