The invention discloses a green energy saving method suitable for an extreme climate simulation laboratory. After a voltage or pollution test on a to-be-tested insulator is carried out, dusts in the laboratory are swept through a centrifugal blower fan, and dust filtering is further carried out through a waterproof and oilproof cloth bag to eliminate residual dusts; a pulse air flow generator is employed to generate a compressed pulse air to sweep the dusts at a back side of the insulator, and dust cleaning of the insulator is realized; after the dusts reach a material place, a discharging system at a bottom portion of the laboratory is communicated with a dust storage case to realize recovery utilization of the dusts; after the insulator is cleaned, the experiment water at the bottom portion is filtered, and water source recovery is realized through a water pump at the bottom portion of the laboratory. The method is advantaged in that workload and risks of workers for dust sweeping are reduced, the recoverable utilization of the test water is realized, cleanness of insulator test pieces is further guaranteed, efficiency of the whole extreme environment test is improved, and the method can be effectively applied to the insulator extreme operation environment simulation test.
