The invention relates to a batch-type nickel-cobalt-aluminum precursor preparation method, which comprises the steps of preparing a certain concentration of metal salt solution, aluminum alkali, liquid alkali and aqua ammonia; adding the metal salt solution, the aluminum alkali, the liquid alkali and the aqua ammonia into a reaction still through corresponding liquid feed pipes for reacting, wherein the liquid alkali is added into the reaction still through an upper liquid feed pipe, the aluminum alkali is added into the reaction still through a lower liquid feed pipe, and the upper liquid feed pipe and the lower liquid feed pipe are connected in parallel to the reaction still; adjusting pH to be 12.5 or above, and controlling a pH value and aqua ammonia concentration to remain unchanged;when reaction is carried out for 0.5 to 2h in the reaction still every time, reducing pH by 0.02 to 0.2 until the pH is reduced to be 12.2 or belowe; after the pH is reduced to be 12.2, overflowing areactant, then removing a supernatant, returning into the reaction still, expanding the particle size to the required particle size, and conveying the reactant to an aging tank for aging; washing anddrying the aged reactant to obtain a nickel-cobalt-aluminum ternary precursor. The batch-type nickel-cobalt-aluminum precursor preparation method provided by the invention can be used for preparing products with any particle size and extremely narrow particle size distribution.
