The invention discloses a rudder for a ship which can reduce a bending stress generated on a circumference of a pintle which is caused by a rudder under a rubber force and can reduce rudder resistancein a process of going forward. The middle portion (20) of the rudder (13) is installed in a rudder holder (12) in a swinging manner through a rudder bolt (16). The rudder middle portion (20) fixes the rudder bolt (16) on a rudder fixing part (21) of the rudder (13) or on a shortest ship rail of the rudder (13). The ship (10) also has a rudder ball (14) which is arranged in axial height of a screwpropeller and is bulged from the rudder holder (12) or the rudder (13) along a norm direction. At least part of the rudder ball (14) is integrated with the middle portion of the rudder.
