The invention discloses a concentrated sulfuric acid purification process and device for sulfuric acid production. The process comprises the following steps: performing waste heat recovery on high-temperature process gas from a sulfur or sulfur slurry incineration unit by a waste heat boiler, purifying concentrated sulfuric acid cooled by a process gas heat exchanger, performing heat exchange andtemperature rise on the process gas, enabling the processed process gas to enter a converter, and feeding crude sulfuric acid produced by concentrated sulfuric acid purification into an ammonium sulfate unit. According to the purification process disclosed by the invention, process gas cooling, process gas scrubbing, process gas electrostatic-demisting, process gas drying and process gas heating and temperature raising unit in a general acid production process are canceled, so that the process flow is simplified, and the construction investment and production and maintenance cost can be saved.Since direct cooling of the process gas is canceled, and the temperature rise part is modified into a self-phase heat exchange manner, cooling water is saved, and heat energy needed by re-heating isalso saved. The current situation that coking gas purification is generally equipped with ammonium sulfate is matched, the process gas is purified by utilizing the concentrated sulfuric acid in a concentrated sulfuric acid purification tower, the produced crude sulfuric acid meets acid requirements in ammonium sulfate production and then is fed to the ammonium sulfate unit, and the production of dilute washing acid is avoided.
