An embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for generating configuration files. The method includes responding to a preset operation for editing target page elements according to areceived instruction, and displaying an editing interface of the target page elements, wherein the editing interface includes at least one piece of to-be-selected user operation information and information of a page behavior triggered by user operation directed by the at least one piece of to-be-selected user operation information; determining target user operation information obtained through selection from the at least one piece of to-be-selected user operation information; determining target behavior information obtained through selection from all behavior information; generating one configuration file of the target page elements based on the target user operation information and the target behavior information. The method has the advantage that the user operation information and the behavior information can be selected to improve the efficiency of generating the configuration files of the page elements.
