The invention discloses a nutrient additive for culturing human nervous system cells and differentiating human multifunctional stem cells to nervous system cells. The nutrient additive is prepared from the following components according to the final utilization concentration: 0.1mg/L to 20mg/L of human insulin, 10mg/L to 200mg/L of vitamin C, 10mg/L to 100mg/L of glutathione, 0.05mg/L to 5mg/L oflinolenic acid, 0.2mg/L to 20mg/L of carnitine, 5mu M to 500mu M of N-acetylcysteine, 0.01mg/L to 10mg/L of ethanolamine and 0.05mg/L to 5mg/L of linoleic acid. The invention further discloses application of the nutrient additive to culture of the human nervous system cells and induction of differentiation from the human multifunctional stem cells to the nervous system cells. The nutrient additivedisclosed by the invention has the advantages of simple formula, low cost and clear chemical components; the nutrient additive does not contain animal-derived components and does not contain proteinextract and hydrolysate; and the nutrient additive of all batches is uniform and stable and is safer.
