The invention belongs to the technical field of material surface treatment, and particularly relates to a surface roughening treatment method for stainless steel. The surface roughening treatment method for the stainless steel comprises the following steps of (1) sand surface treatment, specifically, the pretreated stainless steel is immersed into a sand surface treating agent, so that a micro coarse surface is formed on the surface of the stainless steel; (2) surface cleaning, specifically, the stainless steel obtained in the step (1) is immersed into strong acid cleaning liquid, so that a copper and cuprous chloride adsorption layer which has no adhesive force and is located on the surface is cleaned, and the micro coarse surface on the surface of the stainless steel is exposed; (3) sensible sand treatment, specifically, the stainless steel obtained in step (2) is immersed in sensible sand treating fluid, and thus a nano coarse surface is formed on the micro coarse surface of the stainless steel; and (4) surface adjustment, specifically, the stainless steel obtained in the step (3) is immersed in surface conditioning fluid, and thus a coarse surface, from the micro scale to the nano scale, of the stainless steel can be exposed. By adoption of the surface roughening treatment method for the stainless steel, a coarse surface from 1-40 [mu]m to 10-400 nm can be formed through roughening, the adhesive force between the stainless steel and surface attachments can be effectively improved, and the bonding strength of the stainless steel and the surface attachments is improved.
