The invention discloses a resistance gene Stv-bi for a rice stripe disease and application thereof. Protein provided by the invention is a1) or a2) or a3) or a4) or a5): a1) an amino acid sequence isprotein shown in a sequence 4 of a sequence table; a2) fusion protein obtained by binding a terminal N or/and a terminal C of the protein shown in the sequence 4 of the sequence table with labels; a3)an amino acid sequence is protein shown in a sequence 7 of the sequence table; a4) fusion protein obtained by binding a terminal N or/and a terminal C of the protein shown in the sequence 7 of the sequence table with labels; a5) protein which is obtained by performing substitution and/or deficiency and/or addition on the protein shown in a1) or a2) or a3) or a4) by one or more amino acid residuesand is related with plant disease resistance. An experiment proves that the protein provided by the invention has great significance on resistance against control of the rice stripe disease, and haswide prospects in cultivation of rice varieties with resistance for the rice stripe disease.
