The invention discloses a wearable device for assisting ship detection and a detection method thereof, and belongs to the ship detection field; the device includes a wearable ship detection unit, a handheld monitor and a ground station; an operator wearing the wearable detection unit and the handheld monitor gives a test in a cabin, and the operator takes photos on the inner wall of the cabin through the wearable ship detection device and positions self; the handheld monitor can display the taken photos and position information of the operator in the cabin in real time; after the operator finishes detection, the taken photos are analyzed and stored by the ground station. Compared with the prior art, the wearable device can improve the analysis efficiency and accuracy of operator ship detection data.
