The invention discloses a blood meal protein wood preservative and a preparation method thereof. Compared with the prior art, the blood meal protein wood preservative and the preparation method thereof has the following advantages that the copper sulfate, the borax and blood meal protein are subjected to a chelation reaction to form an amino acid metal salt and an amino acid salt so that a polymer network which is insoluble in water can be formed in the wood, and therefore the service life of anti-corrosion wood can be prolonged.
