A refrigerator according to the concept of the present invention comprises: a first storage chamber; a second storage chamber which is positioned below the first storage chamber; an ice machine for making ice; an ice bucket for storing ice made by the ice machine; and a middle wall which comparts the first storage chamber and the second storage chamber, the middle wall comprising a base part and astepped part which is positioned higher than the base part so as to form an ice making space, wherein at least a part of the ice machine and at least a part of the ice bucket are accommodated in theice making space. Such structure can increase the utilization of space and the actual usable space of the first storage chamber on the upper side.
