The invention provides a lightening arrester diagnosis method, apparatus, terminal and a computer readable storage medium. The method herein includes the following steps: receiving the three-phase detection parameters of a three-phase lightening arrester at the same position; based on the three-phase detection parameters, calculating a three-phase leak current vector of the three-phase lighteningarrester; and based on the three-phase leak current vector, diagnosing the lightening arrester. The method herein can obtain objective data by calculating the vector of the three-phase leak current, obtains the operation state of the three-phase lightening arrester by comparing data, makes the operation state of the lightening arrester quantitative, defines the processing measurements, and increases diagnosis accuracy.
