The invention discloses a Blastococcus cavernae and application thereof. The strain is named as Blastococcus cavernae sp. SYSUZL-2, and is preserved in China Center for Type Culture Collection on December 9, 2016 with a preservation number o M2016739. Microbiological characteristic analysis and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicate that the strain is a new bacterium. The strain can produce citronellol, geraniol, camphol, terpineol, linalool and other volatile compounds, and can prepare tobacco spice after fermentation. The obtained spice has very special aroma, can strengthen the cigarettestyle, enrich cigarette fragrance, makes the aroma richer and fuller, also can lower the oral and nasal irritation, and has antibacterial and antifungal activity.
