The invention discloses a rock fall alarm system. The rock fall alarm system includes a mechanical displacement sensor, a photoelectric conversion module and a signal transfer module which are sequentially connected through wires. The rock fall alarm system is responsive, has strong anti-interference ability, and can predict rock fall or collapse and raise the alarm even in regions with harsh environments. The system is efficient on the whole, and can push alarm information to a mobile phone terminal in a relatively short period of time. The system is of low cost, can be mass-networked, and can monitor a large area.
