The invention discloses an electric energy meter qualification label pressing device and method on an electric energy meter verifying assembly line. A door-type bracket is arranged on the upper portion of the electric energy meter automatic verifying assembly line. The door-type bracket is composed of two stand columns and a crossbeam. The two ends of the crossbeam are connected with the two standcolumns correspondingly. The door-type bracket is provided with an inductive sensor. The middle of the door-type bracket is provided with a transverse baffle. The two ends of the transverse baffle are fixed on the two stand columns correspondingly. The lower portion of the transverse baffle is provided with three clamping cylinders side by side. The lower portion of each clamping cylinder is connected with a gripper. A conveying belt is arranged under the grippers. A blocking and stopping device is arranged at the set position of the conveying belt. Distance is set between the blocking and stopping device and the door-type bracket. A proximity switch is arranged on the blocking and stopping device. The inductive sensor, the blocking and stopping device and the proximity switch are all controlled through a PLC. The clamping cylinders are connected with the PLC through a solenoid valve. A qualification label is pressed through the clamping cylinders.
