The invention relates to a division method and device for the running state of a wind turbine generator system. The method comprises the steps that the running interval of the wind turbine generator system is determined according to the relationship of revolving speed and wind speed in the wind turbine generator system data collected in advance, and an analysis data set is built; according to theanalysis data set, the division threshold of the running state of the wind turbine generator system is determined; according to the threshold, the running state of the wind turbine generator system isdetermined. Through the technical scheme, it can be achieved that the running state of the wind turbine generator system is divided.
