The invention provides a simulation measurement device and method for a urine area on the ground of a dairy cattle farm. The method comprises the steps of setting up a collecting platform provided with a CCD camera and an IR camera; manually forming a urine pit in the ground, placing a correction aluminum plate near the urine pit, correcting an obtained color image and an obtained IR image separately, and calculating and obtaining the actual area represented by each pixel in the color image and the IR image; extracting an urine pit region of the color image according to a threshold value, andcalculating the actual area of the urine pit; counting pixels in an urine pit region of the IR image, and calculating the actual area of the urine pit; obtaining a relationship model of the actual area of the urine pit in the color image and the actual area of the urine pit in the IR image through linear regression, and correcting an IR image measurement result. By means of the simulation measurement device and method, the area of the urine pit in the IR image can be quickly and accurately calculated, the automation degree is high, the device is simple and convenient to carry, and support is provided for the detection and analysis of urine emission in the dairy cattle farm.
